The protective netting helps to keep the activated carbon lining in place, while still exposing it, to ensure maximum effectiveness. The premium, high potent, activated carbon lining, neutralizes odors on a molecular level. With the foam filter, right under, odoriferous molecules are trapped within those pores, much as a sponge absorbs and traps moisture.
The activated carbon then, traps and contains all the odors in it's pores, therefore neutralizing the inside of the bag. All of SKUNK bags are layered with the thermal foil to help stabilize temperature, while the rubber backed nylon fabric exterior, keep liquids out and smelly air in. Depending on strength and use, a person can go 6 months to a year without having to re-activate the bag.
